One of these is the basis of a URL even though it plays into what the web is all about. However, thanks to the rise of the mobile market, what was once a basic term in the world of the net has slowly deteriorated. At first I just believed it was something regular amongst mobile users who have never owned a computer in their life. Then after recalling the creation of QR scan bars I realized it could be the very thing causing people to bypass the choice of manually typing in a URL. Codes which are posted on posters all over the place and becoming the standard of promotion.
Who could argue with such an alternative such as scan and go to site over taking the time out to type in a dot com. luckily the mobile market only takes up about 20 – 40 percent of the world because one could easily see how this could affect the net in terms of search engine results. It would eliminate the whole purpose of creating a new website and expecting to be found at all. It also could mean that soon people will be forced to get into this and relive the late 90’s version of the web by creating direct traffic over relying on the internet itself. Which by comparisons could someday force all search engines to play the back seat.
