I mean, of course this varies depending on what someone is searching for online. But the casual user could simply use fire fox and get sufficient enough safety. Everyone else would simply be using this just because they hate seeing Ads. Which for the most part has been a daunting thing to society since the dawn of time. People just don't like it and enough so that a social media site was created to devote itself entirely to being AD FREE. I'm not entirely sure how a model like that sustains itself. But that site once made the news just because of that one little feature.
There's no way around it if one prefers the internet to be infinitely free. Otherwise separation will most likely lead to the Howard Sterns of the world. Where every one has to pay for a subscription box that is probably not worth the price tag. Already, Patreon exists to support indie creators and before that the hype was all about crowd funding. Which obviously isn't a bad thing until the returns from investments don't follow through. Because that can happen when services like this become the sole support system of creators instead of being alternative for generous fans.
Simply because it seems to be the wedging itself in the way of progress.
