There is no denying that this world is taking a unique course with its never ending desire to access trending technological advances. Which is done in a way that gives heed to serious pro and cons discussions of an inevitable turn out. This being one of the major developments that is up for question after the rise of what is being currently called trans-humanism. The bonding of man and machine which has been labeled the evolutionary point of humans in the near future.
It’s not hard to see the changes with in society compared to what it used to be decades ago. Already research has revealed that the average attention span of a person is equal to that of a gold fish. Such changes are always likely to affect the way everything is set in place. Like the way people browse the web and can no longer tolerate a website that doesn’t load within 3 seconds time. Standards which leave many sites on the back burner no matter how interesting they may be. Currently, news broke about bio hacking which has led to a break through where one day a person’s eyes can be modified to have night vision.
And when more intriguing options like become available, who’s to deny that people will likely get lost in the idea of anatomy advancement. It could easily spark a new age of modification that could sit side by side with the plastic surgery market. Especially now that science has been able to access healing properties that could make people recover quicker from injury. Whether or not this is truly evolution for mankind will only be decided by the standards which people have set up for themselves. Like the way some people prefer a phone conversation over texting despite personal calls no longer being the main form of communication.
In relation the end game could lead to people either sharing the world with another breed of human or facing a harsh crossroad of becoming disconnected or obsolete. So far we’ve already seen what the influence of being connected has done to society at large. What’s next will be up to what the world feels is best in moving forward as a species.
What will you decide when that time comes?
