If you were an engineer would you send somebody out with a car with a few missing screws in the wheels?
There are no guarantees in a pressured relationship but a subtle and sure one is likely to be the most efficient.
An unfinished painting is likely to be overlooked but a finished one keeps people's attention.
An unrehearsed performance will likely keep people watching but for the wrong reasons of course.
Overall knowing when to pull the trigger on something should be a carefully thought out process so long as you don't abuse it. You respect both parties by allowing yourself the freedom to indulge thus providing the most efficient results. I get happy just knowing when I get something going in my craft. So when I am close to done with it I become eager to show people what I have done. But why do something like that when the last thing I want is for people to become focused on is the negative parts of my work. This is how masterful creations are made and one can also think the same thing with life. In any format, so learn to implement careful evaluation with what ever it is that you are involved in.
I agree that no one is perfect but there is nothing wrong with being the most perfect version of yourself that you can be.
